DNase I (RNase-free) is a recombinant endonuclease that non-specifically catalyzes the degradation of both single- and double-stranded DNA and DNA-RNA hybrids, producing 5' phosphate and 3'-hydroxyl termini-containing oligonucleotides of varying lengths. The protease activity of DNase I endonuclease has been eliminated; therefore, this enzyme is stable at its optimal (neutral) pH range and is suitable for RNA preparation at neutral pH.
